Tarka Mela

Tarka Project presents Tarka Mela, a South Asian-inspired festive gathering at The Meadows in Brooklyn celebrating community and culture in the tradition of subcontinental melas. MELA is a reinterpretation of south asian festivals we grew up attending, with the Tarka twist of celebrating diasporas in NYC 🌶️ MELA will be featuring food, chai, live bands, DJs, henna, tarot, a games corner cultural organizations and wonderful vendors.
